Honest Conversations is a collaboration between two faith-based organizations, Come Near (the group behind He Gets Us) and Alpha. We attend cultural events to listen, learn, and share life together.
It’s not always easy to find spaces where you can meet new people and have real conversations beyond the surface.
Join us for a one-of-a-kind evening where great food and honest conversation come together. You will take part in preparing a Middle Eastern–inspired meal alongside a chef, then gather around the table for a series of thoughtful, easygoing conversations that unfold naturally throughout the night.
It’s a chance to step out of the usual routine, share a memorable experience with others, and engage in the kind of conversations that are rarely made space for—around life, purpose, and meaning.

Pull up a chair in our kitchen. It's the perfect place to prepare a meal together while exploring deep spiritual questions in a curious community.
Uncorked Kitchen’s professional chefs guide and work side-by-side with guests to transform some of the world’s finest ingredients into a soulful meal that’s ultimately enjoyed sitting down, together.
Absolutely. Most people find these conversations are even better with a friend. Just select the "Plus One" option on the form.
There isn't one. The meal and the experience are free, sponsored by He Gets Us and Alpha. We do this to encourage conversation, thinking and reflection on our lives together.
We will provide all the refreshments, including both a variety of drinks and NA options, to make everyone feel at home. There will be an option to purchase wine and other alcoholic beverages for anyone interested.
If you choose the May 21st date, we’ll ask for your address during RSVP. A fresh food box will be delivered to you that afternoon so you can enjoy the same meal as the rest of the group.
No. Both of these experiences are free.
